Early 20th century chromolithograph from a Stecher horticultural catalogue. Printed in Rochester NY, an early center for horticultural publishing because of the large number of major nurseries there. Frank A. Stecher, a native of Germany, came to Rochester in 1870. He was the first lithographer to use a two-color offset press and was thus an early pioneer of imaging technology, a Rochester tradition.

A great opportunity for artists

You've got the artistic part down pat. Let us help with the rest.

Time is running out to register for this year's only offering of Artist
as an Entrepreneur (AEI). Now is the perfect time to make an investment
in your work as an artist. And, to make it more affordable, Community
Partnership for Arts and Culture (CPAC) is offering AEI at a reduced
rate if you are a member of Heights Arts or any arts and culture organization or artist service group in Northeast Ohio.

AEI is a comprehensive business training program for artists that covers
every aspect of developing and sustaining an artistic business.  It not
only equips you with the tools to succeed as an entrepreneur, but also
offers an excellent networking opportunity for you to meet artists in
the community, who like you, are looking for ways to make their passion
their business.

This year's only offering of AEI will be a weekend workshop held on
March 13th, 14th, and 15th from 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. at The Gallery at
Trinity Commons, 2230 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44115. Register by
Friday, February 27, 2009. The regular price of AEI is $150.  For those
who are eligible for the discount, AEI is being offered at a cost of
$100.
